“Marketplace,” public radio’s popular business news program, has a new sponsor in South Florida and the New York City metropolitan area: Palisades Hudson Financial Group LLC.

Our firm this month became a local “underwriter,” in public radio parlance, on WNYC in New York, WLRN in Miami and WXELin Palm Beach County. The 30-minute broadcast airs each weekday evening at 6 p.m. on the Miami station and at 6:30 p.m. on WNYC and WXEL.

The show is produced by American Public Media in association with the University of Southern California. Host Kai Ryssdal, a former Navy pilot and U.S. foreign service officer, works from the Frank Stanton Studios on the USC campus, though the show maintains correspondents across the country and overseas.

WNYC simulcasts the program on 820 AM and 93.9 FM throughout metropolitan New York. WLRN’s broadcast can be heard on 91.3 FM in Miami-Dade and Broward coun- ties, and on various other frequencies in the Florida Keys. WXEL’s signal on 90.7 FM can be heard from Fort Lauderdale northward to Fort Pierce, Fla.
