Linda Elkin
Director of Human Resources
Linda Elkin became Palisades Hudson’s director of marketing and human resources in 1995. Since then, the staff has grown from two employees to more than 20; revenues have increased twentyfold; and Palisades Hudson opened new offices in Florida and Georgia. In addition, the firm launched a registered investment advisor affiliate that currently manages more than $1 billion.
Linda earned a B.A. in psychology from Brandeis University in 1978 and an M.B.A. in marketing from the University of Michigan in 1980. Her earlier work included positions at Prentice-Hall and at the Reader’s Digest Association, where she was a product manager in the books division.
In 2010-2011, Linda co-developed a six-unit, 56-hour advanced business management training program for Palisades Hudson executive officers and managers, and served as lead instructor for a unit on behavioral psychology. She oversees staff recruitment efforts at approximately 100 top colleges and universities from coast to coast. She was a co-developer and co-writer of Charitably Speaking, a Sentinel feature that highlights interesting and unusual philanthropies. Her topics have included the Center for Victims of Torture and the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind.
